Ealain A-muigh (Drawing Outside) is an ongoing arts project set up by Lasair Ealain in 2009. The workshops are led by artists Kath MacLeod and Julie Brook.

The main aim of Ealain A-muigh is to enable people of all ages from the community to observe their local environment and landscape more closely through drawing.

The structure of the day begins with a trip to a new site working in A4 drawing books using soft pencils, focusing on structure, tone, texture, space and composition.

These studies are then developed into larger scale drawings using charcoal and rubbers.

Colour is also explored using artists' watercolours. The day end by the group coming together and discussing the work.
